동영상 편집 앱 ‘VLLO(블로)’를 서비스하는 비모소프트(이경현 대표)는 미래에셋벤처투자로부터 20억 투자를 유치하였다.

VLLO(블로)는 영상을 자르거나 붙이고 자막을 넣거나 배경 음악을 삽입하는 등 기존의 복잡한 영상 제작을 핸드폰 앱으로도 쉽고 빠르게 작업이 가능하도록 제작된 무료 앱서비스(일부 고급 기능의 경우 유료)이다. 12개 언어로 전 세계 사용자들에게 제공되고 있는데 이미 한국의 사용자보다 미국, 일본 등 세계 각국의 유저수가 더 많은 글로벌 서비스로 성장하고 있다.
애플의 앱스토어 리뷰를 남긴 사용자 중 86%인 15만명의 전 세계 사용자가 별 다섯개 만점을 줄 정도로 사용자 만족도가 높아 마케팅 활동 없이도 입소문으로 지난 9월 기준 전년 동기대비 월 매출이 10배 이상 늘었을 정도로 매달 빠르게 성장하고 있다.
비모소프트에서는 이번 투자를 발판으로 2021년까지 매출규모 기준 5배 성장을 목표로 해외 시장에 VLLO를 알리기 위해 공격적인 마케팅 활동을 펼칠 계획이다. 이와 함께 사용자들이 원하는 제품 개발을 위해 우수한 개발자 발굴 및 양성에 집중 할 계획이다.
이경현 비모소프트 대표는 “비모소프트를 애플리케이션의 한계를 넘어 세상에서 꼭 필요로 하는 소프트웨어를 만드는 회사로 성장 발전시키고 싶다. 이를 위해 모바일 플랫폼 중심의 비즈니스를 넘어 PC와 MAC 버전도 출시할 계획이다.”고 포부를 밝혔다.

Based on this investment, Vimosoft plans to carry out aggressive marketing activities to introduce VLLO to overseas markets with a goal of 5 times the sales volume by 2021. In addition, they plan to focus on finding and nurturing excellent developers to develop products that users want.
